Grape Skin Gin - Mar. 2024 (500ml)
We rescued leftover Grenache grape skins from a local vineyard that was making a rose wine. We combined those with native Davidson plums and our crowd favourite Final Squeeze Citrus Gin to create a modern twist on sloe gin.
38% abv.
Only 200 bottles made. Strict limit of 2 bottles per customer.
Smell: Fragrant and lightly floral with notes
of strawberry and turkish delight.
Taste: Fruity and full with flavours of plum
jam balanced with tart red berries.
The Hero Ingredient
We took grenache grape skins from local winemaker Faber Vineyards, which were grown by Lancaster Wines. The grenache skins that we sourced, originally went into making a rosé wine. The only difference between making a rosé versus a red wine is the time the skins stay in contact with the wine (hours versus weeks). We knew these little skins had tonnes of flavour left in them that we had to save!
How we made it
In addition to the grape skins, we took native Davidson plums and let them take a long cold bath in our award winning Final Squeeze Citrus gin. After that we squeezed every drop of plummy gin goodness out and infused the grenache grape skins for a mere 3 hours (they were PACKED with flavour). It's a meticulous combination of flavour and balance!

Sip It, Or Savour It
We love a double shot of Grape Skin Gin with 150ml of soda and fresh lime. Or, for something equal parts sweet and tart, try it in this twist on a classic cocktail:
Charlie Chaplin
- 60ml Grape Skin Gin
- 20ml Lime Juice
- 20ml Apricot Brandy/Liqueur (or 2 heaped teaspoons of Apricot Jam)
Add all ingredients to a shaker tin with cubed ice, shake hard for 20 seconds, then strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
